Programming the Slime Drone with a job requires that it be given three inputs: Slime, Source, and Destination.Īll three inputs must be given to it - and then activated - for the Drone to function. When the water runs out, it will finish any jobs before going inactive. The Slime Drone station has a button with which to program the Slime Drone and has a water gauge which indicates how much charge the Drone has left before it stops functioning. When placed down, it is not programmed to perform any jobs and will remain idle on top of the flower until it is programmed. The Slime Drone is designed to assist with jobs on the ranch and its expansions. The blueprint for the Drone is purchasable from The Lab for 3,500 3 days after The Drone is purchased. The 7Zee Corporation insists this bug is a feature. Sometimes, a drone will overfill an auto-feeder or silo due to a bug in their software. Simply give it a refreshing blast of water to recharge it.Ī drone only works on your ranch and will only work within the ranch expansion in which you place it. If you give a drone an impossible task, or a drone simply cannot complete their task presently, it will go idle.Ī drone can run for about a day before it will return to its station and must be powered up again. Destination: Where the drone takes its target. Target: What the drone is looking for on your ranch. Once you've built a drone, simply give a program using three simple inputs: 1. Also, prefill the feeders to a decent amount so things don't get mixed up.Īgain, this is mostly based on the basic drone since I haven't played with the advanced drones yet.Drones are a highly useful gadget that can reduce some of the work a rancher needs to perform on the ranch to keep things running smoothly. Plort collection uses "free range" as the source for all three, and only the incinerator needs to be "fed".įor corral/autofeeder slimes, an area should be all fruit or all veggie so you can keep all autofeeders filled with one drone/program. Putting this all together, this results in the following suggestions:įree range slimes, pond slimes, and incinerator slimes group well in the same area. I use one feeder drone and one plort collector drone per area. Target can vary, but for simplicity I usually target a silo. Not sure if it can collect from corral floors. Note that free range can also collect from ponds and incinerators. Plort collection can be divided into free range collection, and moving plorts from corral plort collectors. The group targets you do have for foods are fruits, veggies, and meat. Also, there's no "all foods" target unless that's something only advanced drones have. If you're using basic drones, that's two programs per area. I suppose you could also do chickens in the overgrowth, and maybe there's amgood way to do coops as a source, but the way I play I make largos so that everything can be fed by a fruit or veggie. Keeping in mind that a drone program is a target, source, and destination.įeeding can further be divided into garden to corral, garden to auto feeder, and garden to incinerator. I haven't used advanced drones, but itwlooks like they're just drones that can run two programs? Anyways, I'm going to base my thoughts on the abilities of the basic drone.Īnyways, I see 2 general use cases for drones: Feeding, and plort collection.
